How Texas A&M's new approach to bye weeks may finally give Aggies a strong finish

COLLEGE STATION -- Charles Oliver was very blunt about the how Texas A&M's football team approached off weeks in previous seasons.

"I would just say lackadaisical and not a lot of urgency," the A&M junior cornerback said Monday.

Even those unfamiliar with the Aggies can agree those are two things generally unassociated with successful programs. This year, under a new coach, it appears those feelings are no longer attributed with A&M's lone off week of the season.

"We still have that feeling like we're coming back to work, like we still haven't accomplished what we need to accomplish," Oliver said.
