Here's what Texas A&M must fix to have chance at deep NCAA tournament run

All of the relevant metrics indicate Texas A&M's men's basketball team is likely tournament-bound in March.

Even after the Aggies' home loss to Mississippi State on Tuesday, A&M is still 25th in the RPI, 34th according to KenPom.com's ranking and have the country's seventh-toughest schedule, per the NCAA.

But given the way A&M has played during its recent three-game losing streak, there's little solace in numbers for a team that many thought could make a deep postseason run.

With three games left before the SEC tournament in St. Louis, the Aggies (17-11, 6-9 SEC) resemble last year's 16-win team instead of the squad that was ranked fifth in the Associated Press poll at one point this season.
