Former Baylor guard Wendell Mitchell commits to Texas A&M

A former Baylor men's basketball player is continuing his collegiate career at another school off of Highway 6.

Trinity Valley C.C. point guard Wendell Mitchell has committed to Texas A&M, he announced on his Twitter account Tuesday morning. Mitchell, 6-3, has two years of eligibility remaining following two years at Baylor and one at junior college.

In his only season in junior college, Mitchell started all 33 games for the Cardinals and averaged 20 points per contest, according to the team's website.

The Rockdale alum redshirted his first year in Waco before he saw limited minutes during the 2016-17 season.
