Former Aggies All-American, wife killed in home

Former Texas A&M All-America linebacker Antonio Armstrong and his wife, Dawn, were shot and killed early Friday in their Houston home. Police say an unidentified juvenile is in custody and faces murder charges in the case.

Armstrong, a first-team All-American in 1994, was a sixth-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers and played four games for the Miami Dolphins in 1995. At Texas A&M, Armstrong was named a semifinalist for the Butkus Award as a senior after leading the Southwestern Conference in quarterback sacks and tackles for loss. Armstrong also played three seasons in the CFL.
