FLASHBACK: Looking back at 'The Hit,' 25 years after Texas A&M's Quentin Coryatt leveled TCU's Kyle McPherson

Monday marks the 25-year anniversary of a play many Texas A&M and TCU fans will remember.

Texas A&M linebacker Quentin Coryatt, the leader of Texas A&M's "Wrecking Crew" defense, dropped a vicious hit on TCU's Kyle McPherson. It's been dubbed "The Hit" and was named ESPN's "Hit of the Year" in 1991.

Below is a story by staff writer Brad Townsend from 2001, the 10-year anniversary of the play.
