Aggie Michael Wacha to Represent National League in MLB All-Star Game

Michael Wacha has started 17 games for the St. Louis Cardinals this season, accumulating a 10-3 record and 2.93 ERA. These numbers are good enough for 2nd in wins (tied) and 13th in ERA for the National League. The Cardinals are currently first place in the NL Central. Wacha memorably went 2-0 and earned most valuable player in the 2013 National League Championship series.

According to 12thMan.com, Wacha will be the first Aggie to ever pitch in an MLB All-Star game if he takes the mound on Tuesday. Chuck Knoblauch was the last Aggie to play in the all-star game as a reserve second baseman in his fourth trip to the game for the 1997 Minnesota Twins.
