Aggie A.J. Minter gets W in Game 1 of the World Series

Aggies who happen to be Houston Astros fans likely weren’t very happy with the outcome of Game 1 of the World Series, which saw the Atlanta Braves win 6-2 and jump out to a 1-0 series lead. But if there’s a silver lining, it’s that a former Texas A&M pitcher played a major role in that Braves victory.

A.J. Minter, who played for the Aggies from 2013-2015, entered the game in relief of starter Charlie Morton after he left the game in the third inning with what was later revealed to be a fractured fibula.
