When Texas A&M sophomore running back Trayveon Williams went to the sideline and decided to strut in the second quarter of Sunday's loss against UCLA, it was a spur-of-the-moment decision.
After the act was caught on camera for the national TV audience, Williams' spontaneity turned into a viral moment.
"I was enjoying the game," Williams said. You gotta have a little swagger when you're in the game. You gotta love it.
Williams said the drum baton (not a pimp cane or scepter, as some observers have described it), was an addition when Mark Hocke was hired as the football program's strength and conditioning coach.
