'A big-picture vision': Texas A&M coaches are confident new athletic director Ross Bjork will lead program to higher heights

DESTIN, Fla. -- A simple exercise turned into the perfect metaphor for Ross Bjork's job status.

When it was his turn to introduce himself to his peers during a session at SEC spring meetings, he issued a tongue-in-cheek response.

"'I'm special adviser to no one,'" Bjork told those gathered inside the ballroom at the Hilton Sandestin Resort.

Bjork is technically between two jobs. Even though the former Mississippi athletic director has already agreed to take the same job at Texas A&M, he doesn't officially start until July 8.

At this week's conference meetings, he advised his former and future employers in the midst of his transition to A&M, a move he's excited about.
