Each season brings surprises from breakout players for teams. Texas A&M definitely saw several upperclassmen turn it up a notch in 2018 to help lead the Aggies to an 8-4 mark.
Here are five players that exceeded expectations for the Aggies in 2018:
1. Daylon Mack, DT: Many considered Mack, a former 5-star prospect, a major bust, but the senior shined this season. Starting in all 12 games, Mack has recorded 9.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks, both career bests. A guy who was previously, at best, a key bench player finally bloomed into the booming defender many expected he could be.
