Novak Djokovic vs. David Goffin
In the first match on Centre Court (8 a.m. ESPN), the world No. 1 and the defending champion, Novak Djokovic, will look to reach his fifth consecutive Grand Slam semifinal. Goffin, the 21st seed, has never reached a major semifinal. He has beaten Djokovic once in six meetings, though that victory came in their most recent match, in Monte Carlo in 2017. Goffin, normally more suited to clay and hard courts, has had a good grass-court season, reaching the final at the Halle Open, where he lost to Roger Federer.
