Fans at the 2017 US Open were treated to another dramatic Maria Sharapova match on Wednesday as the 2006 US Open champion fought her way into the third round.
After a dramatic three-set night match against Simona Halep on Monday, Sharapova once more needed to take the long way home after losing the first set to Timea Babos and trailing early into the second set. Putting her famous fighting spirit on display, Sharapova turned her luck around, much to the enjoyment of the Arthur Ashe Stadium crowd.
