Maria Sharapova has arrived at the 2017 US Open on Wednesday. Entering the event with a main draw wild card, the 2006 champion is making her first apperance at the US Open since 2014 after missing out on the past two editions due to injury and suspension.
Having played only one match since the clay season, Sharapova started her preparation for the event on Wednesday, completing her first on-site practice session while the tournaments first qualifying round commenced.
