Unprecedented situation: No new Tennis Hall of Famers selected this year

For the first time ever, no new inductees were selected for the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Since none of the nominees passed the minimum number of votes, this year marks an unprecedented situation that has never happened since the beginning of the ITHF in 1955.

Grand Slam champions Ana Ivanovic, Flavia Pennetta, Cara Black and Carlos Moya were the new nominees on the ballot for the class of 2022, joining Lisa Raymond and Juan Carlos Ferrero who were returning nominees in their second year on the ballot.
