United Cup: Great Britain knocked out as United States take unassailable lead

Great Britain are out of the inaugural United Cup after the United States took an unassailable 3-1 lead in their City Final in Sydney.

Earlier, Cameron Norrie won 6-4 5-7 6-4 against Taylor Fritz, after GB team-mate Katie Swan had lost 2-6 6-3 6-4 to Madison Keys.

Harriet Dart was then beaten 6-2 6-0 by world number three Jessica Pegula.

Despite defeat, Dart and Evans will still team up in the mixed doubles rubber against Pegula and Fritz at the Ken Rosewall Arena.

The Sydney City Final is one of three City Finals taking place across Australia, which act as a play-off for the semi-finals.
