Sofia Kenin regroups to beat Ana Bogdan at Roland Garros

Sofia Kenin couldn’t control her unforced errors count in the first set of her encounter with Ana Bogdan, but midway through the second set the reigning Australian Open champion’s game picked up steam and she’s through to the third round of Roland Garros.

The world No.93 Bogdan, who was looking for her first Top 10 victory, dictated the first set from the onset and sealed it with the first ace of the match. Even though the fourth-seeded Kenin did get one break back early on, her 16 unforced errors to 10 winners determined her fate in the first set.
