One day before the women’s qualifying action kicks off at the 2016 Australian Open, temperatures soared in Melbourne Park, reaching 44 degrees celisus in the afternoon.
While the mens’s qualifiers had to play under the extreme conditions, the women’s side of the draw was still busy practicing, including Maria Sharapova who completed an extensive practice session inside Margaret Court Arena.
