Martina Hingis to make a mini comeback, set to play for TC Zug in Swiss national competition

Two years ago Martina Hingis said “No thanks” when asked about a third comeback to professional tennis, but the Swiss tennis legend, now a mom of a one-year-old daughter Lia, will compete as part of the TC Zug team in Switzerland’s National League B Interclub season in May and June.

The 39-year-old Hingis, winner of 25 Grand Slam titles across all disciplines, will be joined by Swiss players from the same age group: Geraldine Dondit, Nadine Kenzelmann and Barbara Suter-Keller. The team, which has trained all winter once a week in the hall of the TC Allmend Zug, is completed by two local juniors.
