Playing in her first Grand Slam, world No. 361 Lois Boisson of France continued her fairytale run at Roland Garros 2025 with a 7–6(6) 6–3 victory over sixth seed Mirra Andreeva. The wildcard displayed remarkable composure, recovering from a break down on three separate occasions, in addition to the first-set tiebreak, to edge last year’s semifinalist in front of an electrified Parisian crowd.

The 22-year-old Boisson twice recovered from a break down in the opening set and had three set points, two of which came courtesy of Andreeva’s double faults in a marathon 12th game that lasted nearly 12 minutes.
