Indian Wells CEO quits in equal pay row

Indian Wells tennis tournament chief Raymond Moore has resigned after his controversial comments about equal pay.

Moore, 69, said the women's game "rides on the coat-tails" of the men, and that male stars had "carried the sport".

Novak Djokovic then claimed the men's tour should fight for more money.

Former world number one Martina Navratilova called Moore's comments "extremely prejudiced" and warned female players may boycott the tournament if Moore stayed.
