Great Britain’s James Ward and Kyle Edmund handed wild cards for Queen’s

Great Britain’s James Ward and Kyle Edmund have been awarded the two remaining wild cards for the upcoming Aegon Championships at the Queen’s Club.

Ward, the world No106, reached the semi-finals of the pre-Wimbledon tournament in 2011 while Edmund has recently climbed to 121st in the rankings after qualifying for the main draw of the Australian Open.

Ward, 28, and Edmund, 20, join British No1 Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal, Stanislas Wawrinka and Marin Cilic at the tournament, which takes place between 15-21 June.

The third wild card went to Australia’s four-time winner Lleyton Hewitt, this year making his 16th and last appearance at Queen’s before his retirement from tennis.
