Just days before the 2025 US Open begins, Coco Gauff has decided to part ways with coach Matthew Daly, a source told ESPN. The two-time Grand Slam champion and current world No. 3 will continue her work with longtime mentor Jean-Christophe “J.C.” Faurel, while adding biomechanics expert Gavin MacMillan to her team. Gauff was seen practicing in New York on Wednesday with both Faurel and MacMillan.
MacMillan is known for his work with world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, assisting her with serve mechanics after she struggled with the yips in 2022, and helping refine her forehand.
