Federer advances to the Wimbledon final.
Roger Federer defeated Rafael Nadal, 7-6 (3), 1-6, 6-3, 6-4, to reach his 12th Wimbledon final. He will face Novak Djokovic, the top seed and defending champion, in the final on Sunday.
Federer, 37, has won eight Wimbledon singles titles, a men’s record. If he wins on Sunday, he will tie Martina Navratilova’s open era record of nine.
