By reaching the Generali Ladies Linz final on Saturday, Dominika Cibulkova is now just one win away from qualifying for Singapore and in the title match the Slovak will face Viktorija Golubic, whose last two matches were cut short as her high-profile opponents quit due to injuries and illness.
Continuing her successful 2016 season, the second-seeded Cibulkova reached her sixth WTA final this year by defeating Carla Suarez Navarro 6-4 6-3 in the Linz semis. After Cibulkova earned an early break to go 2-0 up in the first set, neither player held serve until the end of the set.
