Team Peace dominated the Credit One Bank Invitational, the biggest women’s tennis tournament organized during the coronavirus pandemic, clinching victory with an unassailable 26-16 lead against Team Kindness.
Bethanie Mattek-Sands proved to be an outstanding captain, as she picked eight players based on their ability to play well in both singles and doubles and on their compatibility with one another, so her Team Peace absolutely dominated Madison Keys’ Team Kindness.
“Today’s idea was actually to put strong net players with strong baseline players,” said five-time Grand Slam doubles champion Mattek-Sands after a successful final day in Charleston.
