Bellucci, Zverev Advance at Swedish Open

BASTAD, Sweden — Sixth-seeded Thomaz Bellucci of Brazil advanced to the quarterfinals of the Swedish Open after defeating wild card entrant Christian Lindell of Sweden 6-3, 6-4, on Wednesday.

Bellucci's victory left 2011 Bastad winner Robin Soderling as the last Swede to have reached the quarterfinals or better in the tournament.

The Brazilian meets 18-year-old Alexander Zverev of Germany, who ousted fourth-seeded Juan Monaco of Argentina 6-4, 6-2, in an 80-minute game to reach his second World Tour quarterfinal.

Argentine Federico Delbonis rallied to beat Brazilian qualifier Rogerio Dutra Silva 1-6, 6-4, 6-4, in two hours.
