Australian Open 2017: Britain's Aljaz Bedene loses to Victor Estrella Burgos

British number four Aljaz Bedene exited the Australian Open in the first round after being beaten in four sets by Dominican Victor Estrella Burgos.

The 27-year-old lost 7-6 (9-7) 7-5 0-6 6-3 in three hours and nine minutes in Melbourne on Monday.

Slovenian-born Bedene, ranked 108 in the world, was 5-2 up in the opener before Estrella Burgos fought back to take the first two sets.

Bedene eased to victory in third, but it was Estrella Burgos who progressed.
