The men and women competing deep into the United States Open know they are an elite bunch. What they do not always realize immediately is that membership lasts a lifetime.

Players who reach either the quarterfinals in singles or the semifinals in doubles are inducted into the Final 8 Club, which gives them access to credentials for themselves and a guest — as well as additional tickets and tournament transportation — to attend the Open for the rest of their lives.
