Now Andy Murray will get ready to take a swing at fatherhood.
The two-time major champion and his wife, Kim Sears, are expecting their first child early next year, Murray's manager, Matt Gentry, confirmed in an email to The Associated Press.
Murray, currently No. 3, will join the ranks of highly ranked fathers on the ATP tour: No. 1 Novak Djokovic had a son last year, while No. 2 Roger Federer is a father of two sets of twins.
Murray and Sears got married in the tennis star's hometown of Dunblane, Scotland, in April.
In 2013, Murray became the first British man in 77 years to win Wimbledon.
