KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – First, let’s send positive vibes to Tennessee offensive lineman Trey Smith. He will miss at least some and likely all of spring practice with what has been reported as a “serious medical issue.”
Hopefully, this is a mere bump in the road. He’s a teenager with his whole life ahead of him, and it’s much more important than football.
Still, from a purely football point of view, this is yet another bit of bad mojo for the Vols. Smith is something special. He is one of the best (if not the best) players on the Tennessee roster.
