Tennessee Volunteers redshirt senior edge rusher Curt Maggitt has a hip injury and will be out for “an extended period of time,” per coach Butch Jones. Wes Rucker of 247 Sports reported Jones’ announcement on Twitter.

A former four-star recruit out of Dwyer High School in Palm Beach, Florida, Maggitt is a huge loss to a Tennessee defense looking to make some noise in the ever-competitive SEC.
