Tony Vitello recaps LSU series

Tennessee dropped the first two games against No. 1 LSU, but they bounced back on Saturday afternoon in a big way. The Volunteers put six runs on the board in the first inning, then backed that up with four more in the second.

Jared Dickey, Blake Burke and Kyle Booker each had three hits. Zane Denton and Christian Moore both drove in three runs. Tennessee’s big early lead was enough to hold off LSU’s big fourth inning. The Volunteers tacked on two more runs in both the sixth and seventh innings for some insurance, cruising to a 14-7 win.
