One of Tennessee’s most obvious defensive issues over the last couple of seasons has been a lack of pass rush. The Volunteers have struggled in the area pretty much since Derek Barnett stepped off campus — now with a new staff coming in, what can they get out of that group?
To answer that question, you’ve got to assess what is left on the roster. Perhaps nobody in the group is as talented as second-year player Tyler Baron. The 6-5, 257 pounder is a former four-star prospect and was able to get his feet wet as a freshman in 2020.
