After losing out on top ten guard Anfernee Simons to the NBA Draft, Tennessee has focused their attention on a couple of backup plans. One of which is James Akinjo, who de-commited from UConn after the firing of Kevin Ollie. Akinjo is a four star guard and has no shortage of offers on the table.
Rick Barnes and Tennessee immediately offered Akinjo after his decision to leave his commitment to the Huskies. This week, Tennessee got a visit in. Here you can see Tennessee assistant Michael Schwartz with the Vols’ top target.
