Tennessee making changes with its new strength and conditioning coach

Derek Dooley barely got any time in the office he designed, and the state-of-the-art strength and conditioning facilities inside the gleaming Anderson Training Center were not even fully realized at the onset of the previous chapter in Tennessee football.

No matter. The spacious, two-story indoor focal point of the $30-million primary home of the Volunteers’ football training center is being dramatically overhauled.

Per sources on the UT campus, as well as multiple other strength and conditioning professionals, first-year Vols strength and conditioning coach Craig Fitzgerald “has completely gutted the weight room. All the machines are gone. Just racks and dumbbells.
