The Tennessee secondary has been a bit of a letdown to this point in the 2020 season. Now filled with veteran bodies, the Volunteers still rank 70th against the pass this season. Jeremy Pruitt noted this week that the group has been banged up since camp, while also dealing with quarantine restrictions this fall.
No excuses, because this is 2020 and everyone is being forced to deal with the same issues, but it’s tough to develop chemistry as a unit with multiple bodies out during each practice session.
However, on the other side of that coin, it forces you to rep somebody else with the first team.
