Amidst this incredible turnaround, it would be a shame for Tennessee football if they managed to blow it all by suffering an upset loss at home to the Vanderbilt Commodores to close out the season. That’s something they simply can’t afford.
After an 0-2 start, the Vols are in position to have an incredibly strong finish to the season. Going 8-5 is on the table, and if they finish 7-5 by beating Vanderbilt, they have a great chance at making an decent bowl game.
But Vandy showed by beating the Missouri Tigers that they can indeed be more dangerous than Rocky Top on a good day.
