Tennessee Football: Vols Pitch First Shutout in 13 Years with 55-0 Win Over Tennessee Tech

Joshua Dobbs was out of the game before halftime. John Kelly showed that Jalen Hurd and Alvin Kamara could be replaced. And Tennessee football became bowl eligible with a 55-0 homecoming victory over Tennessee Tech Saturday at Neyland Stadium.

With the win, the Vols moved to 6-3 on the year. Although they are still 2-3 in the SEC, the Florida Gators’ loss to the Arkansas Razorbacks has breathed new life into them.

They are only one game back for the SEC East championship with three games left against the Missouri Tigers, Kentucky Wildcats, and Vanderbilt Commodores.

On Saturday, the Vols had the first relaxing game they have played all year.
