A defensive struggle that ends with a 20-10 victory for one side does not seem like it would have too many key moments. But the exact opposite was true for Tennessee football as they proceeded to beat the Mississippi State Bulldogs Saturday.
In a noon home game on the SEC Network, the 1-4 Vols got their first FBS win of the year, against a Power Five foe in the conference at that. They have now moved to 2-4 and 1-2 in the league, while MSU falls to 3-3 and also 1-2 in the conference.
Despite controlling much of the game, the Bulldogs definitely threatened at times.
