In 2020, Jeremy Pruitt was able to propel Tennessee football into the top 10 of most recruiting rankings because of the Vols’ one unanimous five-star. That five-star just happened to be a quarterback in Harrison Bailey.
This year, Bailey’s addition makes the Vols loaded at quarterback. He is one of two true freshman, the other being athlete Jimmy Holiday, who may play another position. Brian Maurer is a true sophomore. JT Shrout is a redshirt sophomore. Kasim Hill is a walk-on transfer redshirt junior.
Finally, there is redshirt senior Jarrett Guarantano, the favorite to start.
