Tennessee hasn’t had a player selected in either of the past two NFL drafts – the first time the Vols were shut out in consecutive drafts since the draft began in 1936. That will change later this month, when a handful of Vols will be selected in the 2017 draft.
Here’s a look at Tennessee and the players with a legitimate chance to be drafted this year, along with a look at the positions where Volunteers have fared well – and not so well – in the NFL.
This year’s potential draftees (in rough order of when they can be expected to come off the board): DE Derek Barnett, RB Alvin Kamara, CB Cam Sutton, LB Jalen Reeves-Maybin, WR Josh Malone, QB Josh Dobbs.
