There’s no time to relax for Tennessee basketball. After losing at home 51-47 to the Memphis Tigers thanks to horrendous offensive play, the Vols have to face another AAC team, this time on the road, to continue their brutal December schedule.
Rick Barnes’s team, ranked No. 21 in both polls with a 7-2 record, will now travel to Ohio to face the Cincinnati Bearcats Wednesday night. There is a connection between these two schools, as Cincinnati lost its head coach from last year, Mick Cronin, to the UCLA Bruins after Barnes rejected their offer.
Now, the Bearcats are led by John Brennan, who arrived in Cincinnati after four years with the Northern Kentucky Norse, whom he led to the NCAA Tournament twice in three years.
