After spending his freshman season at Rice, Blaine Brown hit the portal looking for other opportunities. Just a couple of weeks later, he’s found one with Tennessee baseball.
The two-way player will look to continue developing as a sophomore, coming off a freshman season that saw him land on the First-Team All-AAC team as a designated hitter.
Brown also made seven appearances on the mound, starting four games for the Owls. The 6-3, 180 pounder hit .292 with ten home runs and 38 RBIs this season. Brown struggled on the mound, registering a 20+ ERA in his six appearances.
