NFL Draft: 5 best landing spots for former Vol Micah Abernathy

Like Shy Tuttle, Micah Abernathy struggled to stay healthy throughout his Tennessee football career. Injuries even cut his senior season short due to a foot fracture. Despite injuries though, Abernathy was a very consist defensive player for the Vols by starting 30 games at safety over the past three seasons.

Abernathy’s best season came in 2017 when he accounted for 81 total tackles, including 47 solo. 2016 was another productive year for the former four-star recruit. He accounted 69 tackles, including three for a loss. Abernathy always seemed to end up at the right place at the right time finishing the season with two interceptions and three fumble recoveries.
