Six former Tennessee football players attended to the NFL Combine last year, and all six of them were taken within the first four rounds of the NFL Draft. This year, the number is a bit smaller, with four Vols receiving an invitation to the scouting event.
Coming off a 4-8 season, it’s remarkable that even four Vols would receive an invitation. Three of them were early departures for the league.
Since the NFL Draft is based off a combination of college performance and physical tools, the NFL Combine is the chance for players to showcase the latter.
