Jeremy Pruitt says safety Trevon Flowers broke his leg

Tennessee lost a starter in their win on Saturday afternoon against Mississippi State. Safety Trevon Flowers broke his leg during the return of his interception today, according to head coach Jeremy Pruitt.

“Unfortunately Trevon Flowers, on the interception, he broke his leg,” Pruitt said after the win. “So he’s a guy that hasn’t played a whole lot of football. Broke his collarbone last year. A guy that I think is going to be a really good player.”

The sophomore safety has appeared in all six games for Tennessee in 2019. He snagged his first career interception today, unfortunately seeing his season end at the end of the play.
