Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt confirmed that senior receiver Jauan Jennings is officially back with the football team today. Jennings — who missed most of last season with an injury — was booted off the team during the final week of the regular season by interim head coach Brady Hoke. Hoke announced on Nashville’s 1045 The Zone that Jennings had been dismissed and former AD John Currie had signed off on it.
It was a strange situation considering Hoke’s status as the interim, but Jennings is going to be given one more chance.
