Hunter Ensley signs undrafted free agent deal with the Kansas City Royals

A true Tennessee legend will get his chance at the professional level after going undrafted in the 2025 MLB Draft. Hunter Ensley will join the Kansas City Royals organization after exhausting his eligibility in Knoxville.

Hunter Ensley is signing a free-agent deal with the Kansas City Royals.

Ensley had a legendary career at Tennessee. He had the slide to win the CWS in 2024, eluding a tag at home plate. He played in 205 games with 174 starts, hitting .303 with 29 homers and 141 RBIs.— Mike Wilson (@ByMikeWilson) July 16, 2025

Ensley is credited with two of the most iconic plays in Tennessee baseball history, both coming in the 2024 College World Series.
