Tennessee lost a commitment from the 2019 class on Sunday as four-star athlete Te’Cory Couch flipped to Michigan. Couch had been committed to Tennessee since June of 2017.
Couch committed to Butch Jones and the previous regime, but his status with the new staff was always up in the air. Jeremy Pruitt has a type at cornerback — and Couch isn’t that type. The 5-9, 148 pound defensive back doesn’t fit it with the six foot-plus targets that this new staff has been targeting.
Couch said in February that Pruitt’s staff hadn’t shown too much interest in retaining him.
