Former Tennessee quarterback Quinten Dormady is tranferring to Houston

The Quinten Dormady era did not go well in Knoxville. In fact, it lasted just five games. Dormady just didn’t fit into what Butch Jones and Larry Scott were doing with the Tennessee offense. The Vols’ problems went much deeper than Dormady, however.

The 6-4, 222 pound quarterback threw for just 925 yards over five starts. He tossed six touchdowns, along with six interceptions. He was benched prior to the South Carolina game for then redshirt freshman Jarrett Guarantano.

Rumors swirled that Dormady could leave the team mid-season, but he stuck around. He did however undergo shoulder surgery.
